Indonesian terrorist Umar Patek was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2012 for mixing chemicals used to make some of the bombs that killed 202 people in Bali in 2002.
As news broke of his potential “early release” last week, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese talked of making “diplomatic representations” to the Indonesian government.
